All contestants are required to acknowledge that they have read and understood all the terms and conditions of entry, as published on the website and entry form. Please read carefully before submitting your entry.
2.1. While Mr Gay World South-Africa conducts relevant screening and checks, it remains the sole responsibility of the contestant to ensure full compliance with all entry requirements.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
2.2.1. Contestants must possess a valid South African Identity Document and be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
2.2.2. Contestants must be between the ages of 18 and 50 at the time of entry. Contestants turning 21 during the year of entry are eligible; however, contestants may not turn 50 during the year of entry.
2.2.3. Contestants selected as Semi-finalists or Finalists must be available for all compulsory dates, events, and activities.
2.2.4. Contestants must not have engaged in any activities or behaviour that may place Mr Gay World South-Africa, its partners, sponsors, or organisers in a compromised, negative, or disreputable position, whether publicly or privately. Any such discovery may result in immediate disqualification or revocation of title.
2.2.5. Contestants must have no criminal record and must not be involved in any criminal activity.
2.2.6. Immediate family members of the organisers of Mr Gay World South-Africa are not eligible to enter.
2.2.7. Contestants must maintain a healthy physical and mental condition.
2.2.8. Tattoos are permitted provided they can be covered by clothing if required.
2.2.9. Educational background is not a requirement for entry.
2.2.10. Prior modelling experience is not required.
2.2.11. No prior charity or advocacy work is required to enter.
ENTRY FORM COMPLETION
3.1. To complete an entry, contestants must:
3.1.1. Read and understand the Mr Gay World South-Africa Terms and Conditions, Entry Criteria, and Privacy Policy.
3.1.2. Complete the official online entry form and all required fields.
3.1.3. Upload one high-resolution photograph in accordance with the photo guidelines.
3.1.4. Pay the non-refundable registration fee of R400 via the banking details provided.
3.1.5. Provide a valid, operational email address and WhatsApp contact number for communication purposes.
3.2. Mr Gay World South-Africa will not be held responsible for any communication not received due to invalid or non-functional contact details provided by the contestant.
Submission of the entry form constitutes confirmation that all terms and conditions and the privacy policy have been read, understood, and accepted.
ENTRY FEE
4.1. The entry fee is R400 per contestant.
4.2. All entry fees are strictly non-refundable.
4.3. Upon submitting your entry, a once-off entry fee is required to complete your application. Please use your full name and surname as the payment reference to ensure accurate processing. Banking details are provided below. Your entry will only be considered valid once proof of payment has been received and verified.

PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS
5.1. Each contestant must submit one photo with their entry.
5.2. Professional photography is not required; however, images must meet the following standards:

- Costume or themed dress-up
- Photos including other people
- Screenshots (including from social media)

5.4. Official announcement photoshoots will be arranged by Mr Gay World South-Africa.
5.5. Contestants may be required to attend photoshoots in their respective provinces.
5.6. Official photoshoots are closed sessions. No guests, friends, or family members are permitted.
MR GAY WORLD SOUTH-AFRICA EVENTS
6.1. All contestants and Semi-finalists must attend required events in person.
6.2. Final event schedules and itineraries will be communicated once confirmed.
6.3. All travel and accommodation costs during the application and Semi-finalist stages are the responsibility of the contestant.
SOCIAL MEDIA
7.1. Contestants are encouraged to follow Mr Gay World South-Africa on all official social media platforms.
7.2. Contestants must maintain a functional Instagram account and Facebook profile or page.
7.3. No minimum social media following is required.
QUESTIONS
8.1. All enquiries must be directed via email to the Mr Gay World South-Africa organisation.
PRIORITY
9.1. Mr Gay World South-Africa and its representation take priority over any previous titles held by contestants.
9.2. The organisation will communicate directly with contestants only and will not engage with family members, agents, agencies, or representatives.
CHALLENGES
10.1. Mr Gay World South-Africa is an ambassadorship and leadership programme, not a beauty pageant.
10.2. Contestants will be required to complete challenges throughout the competition to determine the most deserving winner.
10.3. Challenges will not be disclosed in advance and will be presented to all contestants simultaneously.
TERMINATION
11.1. Mr Gay World South-Africa reserves the right to remove any contestant, Semi-finalist, Finalist, or titleholder at its sole discretion.
11.2. The organisation reserves the right to recover any costs incurred on behalf of a contestant during the competition.
11.3. In the event of termination, the contestant may be required to reimburse Mr Gay World South-Africa for expenses including, but not limited to, transport, accommodation, event attendance, wardrobe, sashes, photoshoots, videography, social media marketing, and other investments. Legal action may be pursued where applicable.
